Mayor's Charity Fund

At a reception in the Town Hall, Westoe Rd, this evening [Friday 15 December], the group treasurer, Dave Mason, was presented  by the outgoing mayor, Cllr Alan Smith, with a cheque  for a magnificent £5,500.00

During their term of office, each mayor chooses which local charities and community groups will benefit from his or her various fundraising events. We were chosen as one of Councillor Smith's 3 main recipients.

The funds will be used solely within the Borough of South Tyneside, and overseen by Diabetes UK regional fundraising team
